First steps in palliative care

Overview of palliative care (RTH02)

Description
This workshop is ideal for anyone new to palliative care or for those requiring an update. We will look at how we might know if our patient needs palliative care; definitions of palliative care; National Guidance around end of life and how palliative is delivered. We will also look at our attitudes to death and how these may impact in us talking to our patients about death and dying. Most of the online content is not mandatory but is available as a resource. However, there is content which is not covered in detail within the face-to-face session. THERE IS A REQUIRED FACE TO FACE SESSION FOR THIS COURSE HELD AT THE HOSPICE 18.07.2024 1.00-4.30 pm. Please only sign up for the course if you able to attend the face-to-face session at the hospice. We hold this course 4 times a year.
